Historical Points of Interest in Stockton, CA

One of the numerous historical points of interest in Stockton is the Bob Hope Theatre. Bob Hope Theatre is a commercial building which was built in 1930 and was named Fox California theatre. This building was included in the National register of historical places on June 27, 1979, and the name was later changed from Focus California theatre to the Bob Hope Theatre in 2004.

Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium

Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium which is located downtown Stockton across the Weber Points Event Centre is also one of the historical points of interest in Stockton. The Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium is a performance venue managed by the city of Stockton community service department. This auditorium building which can sit 5,000 people was opened in November 1925 although its construction has started since the year 1924.

Another one is the Haggins museum which is an art and local history museum in Stockton. The museum was opened in 1931 and its collections include paintings by famous European painters like Jean Beraud, Rosa Bonheur, Williams Aldophe, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and so on. It also has cultures of different kinds in its collection.
